Sanctuary Farm Tours
We invite visitors and Islanders to experience the heart of Handibear Hills — meet the horses, learn their stories, and see firsthand how the sanctuary provides a place of healing for both horses and humans.
The tours will also serve as a fundraiser and educational event to support ongoing care and programs.

Trail Clearing Days
After Hurricane Fiona caused significant damage across Prince Edward Island, many of our beautiful forest trails at Handibear Hills were left blocked and overgrown. We’re organizing Trail Clearing Days to help restore these peaceful paths for our horses, volunteers, and visitors.
Join us for a few hours of fresh air, teamwork, and community spirit Sunday mornings as we clear branches, trim brush, and reopen the trails our horses love to explore. No special skills needed—just gloves, sturdy footwear, and a willingness to help!
What to Bring: Work gloves, water bottle, weather-appropriate clothing, and chainsaws.
Every helping hand makes a difference. Together, we can bring the trails back to life!
